Şule Akcan

Şule is one of the founding partners at Akcan Yavuz Attorney Partnership. Prior to founding the Firm, she gained experience for more than twelve years at leading law firms.

Şule is particularly specialized in capital markets, banking & finance, corporate and real estate law. Over the years, she has been involved in numerous initial public offerings (IPOs), financing, mergers and acquisitions, and privatization transactions. She represents a diverse array of clients such as multinational corporations, Turkish and international banks, intermediary institutions, asset leasing companies, financial institutions, sponsors, issuers, underwriters and corporate borrowers, across various sectors such as finance, retail, industrial, IT, energy, infrastructure, food and real estate. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of transactions, including financing transactions, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, family business constitution, issuance of capital market instruments, real estate transactions, compliance projects.

Additionally, Şule provides ongoing assistance in corporate and commercial matters including corporate governance, compliance, corporate policymaking process, employment, data protection and daily consultancy to publicly held companies in their ordinary course of business.

Şule received her LL.B. degree in 2012 from Galatasaray University and earned her LL.M. Finance degree in 2021 from Goethe University. She is admitted to practice in Istanbul Bar Association as of 2013 and speaks fluent English.
