Zeynep Yavuz

Zeynep is one of the founding partners at Akcan Yavuz Attorney Partnership. Before founding the Firm in 2024, she worked in prominent law firms in Istanbul and as in-house legal counsel in one of the largest banks in Turkey.

Zeynep is particularly specialized in banking & finance transactions particularly in project finance, acquisition finance, Islamic finance and structured finance with a focus on infrastructure, real estate, healthcare and renewable energy. With more than 15-year long track record of working for variety of clients in energy, banking, retail, manufacture and real estate sectors, she took roles in very major financing and privatization transactions. She regularly represents Turkish and foreign lenders, arrangers and multilateral financial institutions as well as Turkish borrowers.

Zeynep’s practice also extends to day-to-day assistance to our clients on all types of corporate and commercial matters including corporate governance, employment and data protection.

Zeynep received her LL.B. degree in 2007 from Istanbul University, Faculty of Law and received her master’s diploma in relation to economy law from Galatasaray University in 2009. She is admitted to practice in Istanbul Bar Association as of 2008 and speaks fluent English.

Zeynep recognized as a Notable Practitioner in Banking and Finance by leading international guide IFLR1000 – which specializes in ranking financial and corporate law firms and lawyers.
